Outline TOGAF Define the core components of the EDM plan:
- Industry structure and business objectives
- Assessment of systems and services
- Target architecture for applications, data and infrastructure
- Target organization structures
- Systems, database, infrastructure and organizational plans
- Business case, costs, benefits, results and risks
Develop Planning Architectural Framework
- Applications: Specify core industry and enterprise processes. Prepare framework for operational, control and BI. Map external and internal functions and dependencies onto the framework.
- Data: Identify data usage and specify core subject areas. Define high level data model and dependencies. Specify high level function/data interaction.
Initiation
- Scope, team composition, project governance and review of techniques used.
- Determine high level business information needs by function/area.
- Explore the supply and distribution channels for data and how they can be consolidated.
- Identify and assess current systems – internal and external
- Assess coverage against future needs and produce gap analysis.
